A Bookworm’s Paradise

You may know the feeling. You’re reading a vivid, enthralling passage by one of your favorite horse authors. As you turn the pages, you can’t help but ask yourself: can I write stories like this, too? The Black thundering down the backstretch, sitting with Grimalkin astride Sham, or swimming the treacherous waters with Misty back to Assateague island? But these were children's stories that seemed destined, along with my Breyer horses, for the dustbin of my childhood.

In writing the Trilogy of the Horse, I have discovered there are new stories to be written with the goal of deeply engaging readers, young and old, in caring about and helping horses everywhere in this new millennium.
